Hall Family Preview

POTD – February 20, 2010

Two weeks ago today, I had the opportunity to photograph the Hall family…Mom, Dad, three girls…and the new baby boy!  Over the past two weeks, I have posted a few teasers from their shoot and picked on the mom [a little bit…and she has been a good sport].

POTD – February 4, 2010

I did another rounder of mini-sessions with my playgroup.  I finally got to shoot this adorable and loving family!  I’m telling you…I don’t know how this mom does it.  She always seems so calm and in total control…even when life throws her a curve ball!  I thought I was going to have to pull out all the stops to get the oldest daughter to smile for me [she has been a tough one in the past], but she was all smiles and quite a little model!

Love this photo…not only do I love how it turned out, but if you saw the original, you would know that I created everything above Dad’s head.  Apparently, I was so focused on  how cute the kids looked while taking the shot, that I cut off Dad’s head and had very little room to work with.  Thank God for PhotoShop!

More Mini-Sessions

I did another round of mini-sessions today and I couldn't be happier. I got some great shots that I think these families will love. I haven't even had time to "play" with them yet so these are SOOC! Here's a sneak peek...stay tuned for more pics in the next few days!

This little man wasa ham the entire time! Such a fun kid to work with!

I just love this shot! What an adorable big brother! So sweet!

Mini-Sessions for Play Group - Take 8

The final take...I had a great time working with this family [even with the challenges]. And, they were so gracious when their original time got bumped and rescheduled due to lighting. But, I think the new time and location worked out beautifully!

This is the last one for tonight...but I love how these came out. I must be totally into eyes right now...but they gave me so many good options! Last time I saw this family, the baby was a newborn...it's amazing how fast they grow up. And big brother! Wow! What a cutie pie!

I am not sure what I said...but it must have been slightly humorous!

Look at this adorable family! And the little one with the gorgeous blonde hair has so much personality! I got some adorable serious/pouty expressions...but even got beautiful smiles. But the eyes say it all!

Working with family was a pleasure. To adorable kids and great parents...who could ask for more! Just wish I has more time to watch them play from a distance with a zoom!

And just because I love this one...I had to include it. They were so playful together...and so sweet to each other. They thought it was quite funny to be sticking their tongues out at each other!

Mini-Sessions for Play Group - Take 3

I had so much fun working with Carrie and her family. I even got to take a few all important belly shots of the little one in waiting. But I learned some very valuable lessons...

Lesson 1: Never assist by picking up the sleepy 2 yr. old [you would think I would know that already!]. I upset Miss Cutie Pie...and it took some time to get her to play along after that!

Lesson 2: I can not compete with helicopters! [grin]
